Jorge is Accenture Iberia Cloud First DevOps lead, Advanced Technology Center in EMEA South Cloud First Architecture & Platforms lead (including our practices in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Architecture, DevOps, DevEx, Platform Engineering & Cloud/Hybrid Infrastructure Engineering), while also acting as the Global Java Community of Practice co-lead.
In these roles, Jorge leads the adoption of modern software engineering practices and cloud native platforms powered by Agile, DevOps and open source technologies - such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, microservices, containerization, serverless, event-driven, etc. - while addressing cybersecurity concerns across the entire software development life-cycle.
As a technology architect he leads advisory, transformation and implementation projects supporting our clients' journey to modern software engineering and guiding their adoption of cutting edge, cloud-native technologies, often aligned with journey to cloud and platform engineering strategies.
As a practice lead he drives initiatives globally and locally to foster our capabilities including: delivery innovation, asset research and development, tooling research and development, methodological approaches, architecture reference models, training and certification programs, as well as alliances with strategic partners and software vendors.
He is an Accenture certified Senior Technology Architect, MIT Professional Education certified Application Security Architect, as well as an Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE and certified DevOps Leader from DevOps Institute.
He is an SME in software architecture, cloud infrastructure and cloud native platforms, Java, cybersecurity, Agile, and DevOps, that frequently writes and speaks about these topics - internally in Accenture through blogs and webinars, and publicly through his blog (http://deors.wordpress.com), or speaking at conferences like JavaOne, OpenSlava, JBCNConf, JConf, Commit Conf, Codemotion, DevOpsDays, Hackers' Week, RootedCON or OpenSouthCode.
